Signed the letter but doubt it will do any good. A boycott of Cypriot products and Cyprus as a holiday destination mught be more effective.

Indeed. I have adopted the latter and won't visit Canada or Japan either despite being asked to a 40th in Canada.

Not sure I eat anything Cypriot but will check in future :)

Seals. And hunting abated only because Europe banned seal products.

And in line with the last post in that thread: -

Embassy of the Republic of Cyprus
    71 Lower Leeson Street
    Dublin 2

    Telephone: +353 1 676 3060
    Fax: +353 1 676 3099

    dublinembassy@mfa.gov.cy

I for one will be putting something on paper. Perhaps some little note or word will trickle upwards.

It is still very bad in Malta, and also in parts of Italy.

Lebanon too is very bad for this type of thing. I've seen some really sick facebook pages from there showing piles of dead cranes, storks, swallows, bee-eaters and raptors etc., all illegally killed:mad:. I don't consider these people hunters(I hunt myself!!), just nasty thugs with guns:mad:
