That's really odd, because I called them up yesterday and the woman just said that they don't  just that they only do tv and phone

    It depends on the estate.

Well there are quite a nice few estates that you could move to. Rockfield?

Seriously though, i thought UPC was all over maynooth.

I'm loathe to even suggest eircom...

On UPC's Website on the bottom right hand corner, theres a little thing to help check what UPC do in your area, I checked Kingsbry and according to that, they do the lot.

    try for yourself

UPC's customer service isn't always known for it's helpfulness tbf. I thought it was available all over Maynooth too? I lived over that side of the town last year and we got it no bother! A fella from UPC came round to the house asking did we want it, maybe someone will be around to yours soon.

I tried it there, put in number 1 first and that was fine, but doesn't seem to be for my house number...which is kind of weird :(

Pop in to one of your neighbours and ask them if they have it.

If they do just ring UPC and talk to someone and tell them the story, can't imagine part of kingsbry is in some sort of internet black hole.

Probably some idiot you were talking to, I'd call again.

UPC CS are idiots, pure and simple. My GF recently moved house, and their online checker (and consequently the database that the staff access) told her that the house they were moving into couldn't get broadband or phone, but the neighbours on either side could. Now both she and the people she was moving in with had expiring subs for UPC from their respective old houses, so I decided to chance my arm and see, since the cabling was in the house for at least analogue, would their equipment work - lo and behold, it did! I think there was an interesting conversation had with UPC at this point.....

Also, UPC do a student offer with 3-4 months free, so if you don't have a full year lease, you don't actually lose out on those months with a 12 month contract, and if you are there, free stuff!

Yeah it's ridiculous, it only seems to work as far as 10 Kingsbry, which is ridiculous to be frank as I'm right beside some of those houses. I'm expecting a call from them in the next day or two so we'll see.

If you live around the front of kingsbry I don't think you can get UPC cos we couldn't but our friend at the back could. it depends where in kingsbry you live.

Well that's really weird cuz it's only the ones at the front that have upc according to the website!

I'm in Kingsbry too and when we rang them they said that our street in the estate couldn't get it. So annoying! And the thing to check on the website just says they're unable to confirm. :S I'm considering just using my internet stick for the rest of the year as most of the contracts seem to be 12 months for broadband and it'll work out cheaper with the stick.

I'm in Meadowbrook on Wimax and it is useless, so avoid that.
