Ok ...this thread only works und certain nerdy conditions ...as there are:

    - you have several mechanical watches
    - you hold them to your ear occassionally to listen to their ticking
    - you are not too embarrassed to admit to either :D

    Me, I've got 18000, 19800, 21600 and 36000 bph to choose from.

My favourite would be the 18000 ..it's just sooo relaxed and pronounced, real tick-tock, like a watch should sound .

On the other hand ...18000 on one ear and 36000 on the other and hearing the strokes overlap and the fast double beat inbetween ...that's almost music.

Ok, you can call the men with the white coats now :D:D:D

No worries P, I'm already in the ambulance wearing the back to front jacket with straps... :D

I'm an 18k man too. Much prefer that relaxed, like you say watch sound.

Rejoice in the awareness of feeling stupid, for that’s how you end up learning new things. If you’re not aware you’re stupid, you probably are.

I need to research the ones I have and see which I prefer.

Ok Peasant, I see your three conditions... but, what about drifting off to sleep to the 360Hz hum of a 214 Accutron.?
