Is Glee returning to former glory?

I have to be honest with you- I love Glee. I LOVED the entire 1st season and I liked the second season too- although I had a few problems with the writing and the constant tribute episodes and guest stars, I don't think it deserved the massive backlash it got. In August when I start hearing reports that Glee would become "Back to Basics" again I really didn't believe them. However, after watching the 1st 2 episodes of the 3rd season the tone of the show reminds me of the 1st season again and I can't help but think that the cast and writers weren't lying. I was just wondering if anyone has felt the same way? Does anyone have anything positive to say about this show anymore? It seems to me as though theres less music and more plot this season (in the 2nd episode of season 3 there was only 3 songs-is that a record?) Do you think that the writers are going to make a huge mistake and include TOO Much dialogue and BARELY any music as a direct contrast to the 2nd season?

Personally I've found that the new series is a bit meh... I'm struggling with it tbh.

The whole quinn being a skank thing is a bit..... well juvenile for someone even of her age in the series. I can't swallow that one - oh, and now she's all of a sudden decided that she's going for full custody of her baby? Seriously, its a pointless storyline. She's given away all her rights to the baby, and she thinks she can get her back. Again something I'm not buying.

They seem to have abandoned the storyline between Britney and Santana. I thought their storyline at the end of the second series was very good, but they've made no efforts to develop this in the third series.....

As for Kurt - He's getting a bit too gay for me. It seems as though they're upping the gayness of his character as much as they possibly can and it seems that he's singing more and more songs too. I find it a bit to dramatic, and now that his boyfriend has transferred, its almost as though its nothing but gayness all around. Don't get me wrong, I'm not homophobic but a character who was tormented and bullied to the extent that he transferred schools has now decided to come back and bring his boyfriend with him is a bit much for me....

Rachel is getting a bit annoying too, but for obvious reasons.

Always liked Sue's character and she was always funny, although with the exception of her witty lines she seems to be just re-hashing old storylines, i.e. going to as lengthy extremes as she can to destroy the glee club.

Let me put it this way, I loved the first two series, but not bothered if I don't see the next episode if you get me.
