Restrict Virtualbox network access

    I have a host running windows 7 and a guest virtualbox machine running xp. I gave the vm a bridged networking connection. How can I only allow it to connect to the internet and not other computers on my network? I do not have the vlan feature in my router.

    edit: Would it only see the internet if I had the network card set to NAT?

    NAT will mean the LAN won't see it. Not the other way around.

    You could put a second network card in the PC just for the VM that connects to the interweb and then hide the other NIC and the rest of the LAN behind another router.

    If your interweb router can take more than one IP address on it's LAN interface then you could setup two IP ranges on the LAN. This will only separate well behaved traffic. A user on the VM could change the IP / use a sniffer to see LAN traffic and it would not necessarily require possession of opposable thumbs to do so.
