Coping with an injury

OK - so since the Half Marathon in Dublin a couple of weeks ago I seem to have picked up some sort of injury.

It's nothing major, but having run on it numerous times since the half I've come to the conclusion that I'm prolonging the injury, if not making it worse....

As I'm training for the DCM, this week and the next 2 - 3 weeks are some of the highest mileage weeks in my programme.... So it's very difficult for me not to run. I am forcing myself to rest and ice the injury though, instead of running on it. I think I'll go for a swim this evening too.

What do you do when you pick up an injury, especially at such a crucial stage in your training (i.e. just before a big event!)
