    Hi

I don't know if anyone can help here. I am trying to figure out the best way to commute to Citywest Business Campus from Ballinteer (Superquinn).

The 75 goes up to the Square so I thought perhaps to get that from Ballinteer then a luas back to Belgard and then the Saggart luas. I have never tried the 75 that time of morning. According to their website there is one at 7.20 from Dun Laoghaire which goes via sandyford, but I am unsure what time that would get to Ballinteer at. I would need to be in Tallaght by 8.20 at the latest to get the luas or a feeder bus to Citywest if I choose that route. Just wondering if anyone gets a 75 at that time of morning if they have an idea of times of arrival etc. or possibly know any other routes?

Thanks if you can help. A

    Get a rambler ticket,

75 to the stop outside the square and a 77a up to citywest. 77a is every 10mins peak time. the 65b is still running that way at moment also.

Thanks...I have a ticket so luas or bus is not a problem at all. I was more worried about time of the 75 arriving in Ballinteer and getting up to the Square at. I cannot be a minute late so time is important to me (I have to be in at 8.45). I also got an option on the route planner from Dublin Bus also to take a 14 to Terenure and get a 65B to Citywest, again, but I was also worried about times of getting to Terenure, where to go to get the 65B after I get off the 14, and then what time the 65B then comes at...so was looking to see if anyone does this already and may know :(

    Your bus options are:

    Route 75:
You will need to get the 0650 departure from Dun Laoghaire. It passes Ballinteer Shopping Centre at about 0720/0725 or shortly afterwards. It will get you to the Square for about 0800/0805, where you can connect with (currently) the 65b and also the 77a.

The 0720 departure from Dun Laoghaire won't be in Ballinteer until 0755 and won't be in Tallaght until 0840 or so.

    Route 65b
The 0720 65b is due to leave Citywest on its return journey at 0845.

To catch that at Rathgar you would need to be on the 0705 14 from Dundrum (it should be in Ballinteer within 5 minutes and Rathgar for 0725). There you can catch the 65b at around 0740.

The 16 times don't match up well unfortunately with the 65b - you would be taking a chance with the 0720 16 from Kingston to connect into the 0720 outbound 65b in Terenure.

The 0720 65b should be at The Square for about 0810.

Both it and the 0650 75 divert via Airton Road before reaching the Square.

That is excellent help thanks so much. The 6.50 75 sounds great to me, really appreciate that thanks a mill. ;)

It is pretty reliable, but it can vary from 0720 even up to 0735 some mornings but is usually there around 0725.

May be quicker, if you can get there, to get the Luas from Balally or Dundrum into town and then get the Red Line from Abbey Street to Citywest. 12 mins from Balally into town and then about 45-55 minutes from Abbey St to Citywest.

Thanks. It wouldn't be quicker though. I've done it, and it takes almost two hours peak time. 75 only takes about 20 mins off peak from Ballinteer to Tallaght, so will prob only be 45 max in peak time.

It's the awkward bit getting from Ballinteer to dundrum luas and then green luas to red luas...why oh why didn't they do a full circle instead of two lines arrgghhhh!! Thanks anyhoo. :)
