My girlfriend has some issues with her teeth and needs significant work done. She attended a Periodontist (not Dentist) in south Dublin, but was not happy with the service received. Any recomendations from Posters would be appreciated, i.e. quality work, good value/price and excellent service. Location is also important - central or south Dublin please. If you could PM (Private Message) me any names, addresses, phone numbers and/or web addresses that would be great. Thanks in advance. :D

    Hi PKen,

PM Sent. I'd ordinarily be slow to recommend any dentist, but I have found this periodontist to be pretty good and pleasant to deal with.

Hi lexa and PKen. Could you possibly send me the names of the periodontists you mention? I need to go see one and I keep putting it off as my nerves are gone just thinking about it.

    All
Have visited my dentist and been told I need to visit a periodontist for treatment of extensive gum disease and such delights as 'root planing' and fixing of loose teeth in place

Have to say I'm dreading the prospect as I'm a very nervous patient having had extensive and painful dental trouble as a child , though had good dental health in my adult years.

I really need a friendly periodontist who is good with nervous patients and possibly even consider using general anaesthetic if it all gets too much.

    Any advice/recommendations appreciated.

Central/South Dublin preferred and whereas cost is obviously important, my nerves & sanity are even more important.

    Thanks for any help!

    Hi Golfusr

I PM'd you the details of a periodontist who I found really good and he's very nice. May not be the cheapest though! Best of luck with it.

    Hi everyone!
I've been told I suffer from gum disease and I need to see a Periodontist.
Do you recommend any good Periodontist possibly in central/south Dublin?

    Thanx in advance!!

    Hi!
I also need a good periodontist in Dublin, as I'm quite dissatisfied with the one I have been now. Anyone willing to recommend someone?
By the way, is there a reason why nobody has given open reviews (good or bad) so far? Is it prohibited by the forum rule, perhaps?
    Thank you.

    Periodontist.
Again, would anyone PM me re. periodontist they would/wouldn't attend, in the S. Dublin region.
I may need to go to one again, and would to know the opinions of others on here.
I had root planing done 3 years ago. Not sure I really needed it, but done anyway.
Have been maintaining with my own hygienist since then.

Could someone PM me too, I'd love to find a good one in Dublin, and see if the one to avoid is the one I'm considering! It's a shame we can't discuss this openly!
