Pricedrop to €850, if she doesn't sell I'm open to offers on the various bits and pieces seperately, frame/ shifters/ wheels etc.

Is the rear derailleur not a long-caged derailleur as it was a triple?

It was never a triple, I swapped the shifters and front mech out onto another bike. I do have a long cage Ultegra rear shifter if you wanted to turn it into a triple, would mean you'd just need a triple chainset.

Ah no looking for the double, just a little put off by the triple shifters/mech.
Any crashes on the bike? Where are the scratches? When was it's last service?

Tbh It would probably be 2 weeks minimum until I had the money but I do have any interest in this bike.

No crashes on this bike, there's a very small nick on a rear chainstay, and a small scratch on the seattube, I'll throw pics of both up later this evening if you want.
I look after my own maintanence/ cleaning, and can guarantee it's been very well looked after. I can show you my other bikes as well if you've any doubts, it's obvious they're all well cared for.
The triple shifter/front mech works fine, again feel free to have a look. If you're not keen on it there's a set of doubles for sale here: http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2056409246 , as I said I'm open to offers for parts so you could always make me an offer for the bike without the shifters/front mech, but it's way too much hassle if you ask me (from your point of view I mean!)
Would like to sell this asap, I'm selling to fund the purchase of a new winter bike which I've already bought but if you're interested then 2 weeks or so doesn't seem like a problem.
Will post pics of the scratches later...

Apologies, the chainstay scratch is actually on another bike, pic above is of the seattube one.

Thats a bonus it's only the seattube. do you know how it got scratched?
Has the chain or cassette been replaced? or would they need to be soon from general wear?

No idea how it got scratched to be honest, it's only superficial though so nothing to worry about. Chain was replaced before last winter, would say it's got ballpark 1500km use, plenty of life left. I'm almost sure the cassette is the original one that came with the bike, so it would have approx 3000km on it, no issues with it.

Cool, Leave it with me for a few days and I'll get back to you about it. Might see If I can get a loan to get it now instead of 2 or so weeks.

Just to help out, I have an SL Pro Carbon in blue, only a year old and it has picked up a few nicks. Loose chippings mostly, some cable rubbing and even from transporting it on a bike rack. It's not exclusive to these frames, all frames will pick up little nicks and marks to the paint, as I'm sure you both know, I don't think I'm doing anything other than stating the obvious.

@Crow, every secondhand bike will have a few nicks, I'd suggest going to halfords and trying to find a little touch-up stick for auto body paint that comes close to the colour. I do this, and while it's impossible to match that colour blue, it at least affords some level of protection.

Lovely bike btw, good luck to both of you.

Hey Crow92, I guess that was you I met on the Rock Road today? I was on the black PX! Bike was looking good, I like the white finish. I'd have posted this on the "Boards Jersey Sightings" thread but it appears to have vanished:confused:.

Hey Paul, yea that was me, I'm actually sorry if I came off a bit rude when we came to the junction at the dart. I usually take the merrion road to over the samuel beckett bridge and didn't wanna make three's a crowd on the two of you's. It was nice to meet you.

Did you make it up and over howth head?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,216 ✭✭✭Paul Kiernan

No prob. It's difficult enough to cycle and chat in busy city traffic. Nice to meet you though.

Yeah, we made it across to Howth and then had a brutal headwind coming back to warm us up.

Hi Statler, do you want to sell that rear mech? I'm trying to put together a triple setup in this thread.

    Thanks, Paul
