Anyone got any info on this?

They ( chromebooks ) are available in pcworld uk, but not in Ireland. Also, not available in komplett, elara etc.

Is it because they haven't yet signed a deal with an Irish 3G supplier?

    What's the story?

Don't forget it's not a laptop, it's more of a thin client for google services.

Vodafone / O2 / Three / Tesco are not Irish and all operate in the UK

    Irish 3G ??

Isn't Meteor owned by Ericom , and they are foreign owned too, (or have the current bunch of asset strippers sold them on yet to the next bunch ?)

three offer eu wide roaming at home rates after 3 months (check T&C) so a UK import might be a way to go if they have the UK contact
