Well Got The Braces In! ....And a Question.

Yeah braces that is. Just the top at the moment as particular teeth have to be moved then the dentist can place the bottom brace and work on the whole lot. Actually I found handing over the money more painful than the procedure itself!;)

As I have a gag reflex, instead of a temporary bottom brace, he capped two back teeth to hold my bite slightly open to allow those top teeth to move across. Thats fine but I find it hard to chew on anything more than soft food with that slight opening. Its very early days, literally, though wonder if this eating difficulty will improve?

    Thanks.:)

You may have some discomfort for about 10 days, muscle soreness and tired jaw generally. Eating will take some time for you to get used to the bite, its only temporary so keep the faith your new smile will be well worth it.
