    Hello All,

Driving a late 01 5 door Civic 1.6SE and yesterday my car radio started playing up.

Got into the car and radio would not turn on...... Anti Theft light stayed illuminated for about 5 minutes while driving then radio came to life on its own but I was unable to change stations or volume or turn off.

Got home, turned off engine and removed the ignition key and locked the car...... radio stayed on!!!!!!

Pulled fuse # 8 from the box underneath the steering wheel but radio stayed on!!!!!!

Disconnected the battery to turn off the radio.

Reconnected the battery but radio will now not even come on..... fuse # 8 is not blown

I would be very, very grateful if anyone could help me solve this problem.

I've also posted this over on hondacivicforum.co.uk as a member their too also suffered the same issue but no response there either.

    Thanks,

    Islanderre

    Update:

Spent the last two hours removing the radio (Middle of dash needs removing).

Disconnected the loom into the radio @ the back; plugged it back in and radio worked perfect......... for about ten minutes then reverted to on but frozen i.e: broadcasting at a set volume and unable to change station or volume.

So folks, what ye reckon...is it simply a knacked radio set or is there more to it as im still puzzled why radio will not die so to speak when I remove radio fuse # 8.
