question re wisdon tooth extraction

    hi,

    i got a wisdom tooth out yesterday. had a get a few stitches and my face pretty swollen

    i was just wondering if can go running tonight or would it better off to leave it until the swelling goes down?

    Irishbird, you may find you get throbbing sensation which may be a bit odd.

    OP, nice to hear that you are feeling up to exercise but I would advise against it for now...

    When you do any exercise, you increase your pulse and blood pressure, this can cause the wound to bleed/ooze. It can also increase the post-operative swelling.

    Leave it 2 or 3 days to settle and then slowly get back into your routine.
