    Hi,
Have a vokera high efficency boiler, natural gas.
Thermostat is still the one of the old setup and is analogue.
I have noticed several times that on days where it is not particurlarly cold the heating just refuses to come on, even when I hike up the thermostat.

Is this normal / expected behavior or do I have a problem?

Additionally, since the new system went in, it takes much longer to heat water. Anyone know why that might be?

    depending on your set up,
failure to come on could be a faulty stat.
    or a thousand other reasons.

water not heating up as use to.
check the flow to cylinder may have been reduced.
get some one out to check it.
