How long to receive medical card

    I got a text saying that my first medical card has been granted last Thursday September 22nd. The text didn't say when I would receive it. Does anyone know how long it usually takes to arrive?

    With the txt you would have got a number...Write it down and give it to doctor if you need to go now...Otherwise it will take 2-4 weeks...Just got mine 3weeks ago...

    can i ask after you sent away your application form how long did it take to be processed and for you to recieve notifcation to say you were getting one? thanks

    When i applied they sent me a txt after a week or two to say my application was recieved and it would be processed by a certain date.If i didnt hear anything by that date i had to ring the medical card office and give a number that was given to me by the same txt.All in all from posting the form to getting the card took 11 weeks.
