Problem with LCD screen

At the bottom left of the screen, there's a kind of whitey blotch or patch that lightens everything in its area. I think it's a problem with the screen itself as i've updated the video drivers to no effect and ran the LCD BIST and the blotch appears during it. It's a Dell Studio 1555 and the screen was replaced last year…

It's a Dell Studio 1555 and the screen was replaced last year due to backlight issues with the old one. It's out of the standard 1 year warranty with Dell since ~November last year.

Anyone experience this issue before?

Don't have a camera readily available Can't take a screenshot as it's the way the screen is displaying that's the problem, not the image being displayed if that makes sense.
