I work in a creche and I was under the impression that all pre-school children receive pre-schhol language screening unless thay are already attending early intervention services?!? My superiors insist that this is not the case and that the tests are done at random? I am just wondering if this is the case? It seems unfair that some kids receive screening and others don't.

    Thanks!

At 2 all kids have a developmental check up, speech is assessed during the developmental and if the child is below the normal range they are sent for an assessment with a speech and language therapist.
