vw polo 2006 electric power steering

    car had a tip a while ago. everything fixed but the side airbag in the seat came out. got a new seat fitted with the airbag and all is ok but the power steering light is on and there is no power steering. could the pump be gone. i have heard they are extremely expensive to get repaired. the car is being plugged into a computer to find the fault. its a 2006 polo.
