12524 H 27500 works on Skybox but not Tevion

I bought the Tevion Satellite combo From ALDI for a spare room for Gran (the big one, not the Camper one). I installed it and pointed at 28.2-28.5. I can tune and get most channels needed (Propeller channel tested, + Sky News etc etc). My Gran wants to get EWTN on this. When I manually add transponder 12524 H 27500 the signal bar goes pale and quality goes to 0%. So I remove the Tevion box, and plug in an old Skybox into the same satellite dish + TV. I get EWTN no problem. I then cross check, by selecting Add Channel on the sky box, and select 12524 H 27500 and there she is EWTN and some other channels listed. So, I've got it pointed in the right direction, but have no clue why the ALDI Tevion Box cannot tune this transponder and does not pick up a signal, but works fine for others.

Any ideas?

Try 12523 H.

Tried that. That TP has nothing on it. Funny enough 12524 V 27500 comes in clear (green signal band) just when I flip to H it goes pale.

Do any high band horizontal channels work, say 12560 H 27500 SR.

Nope. Nothing on that transponder. Is there normally channels on that one?

You mentioned that you were receiving Propeller channel; just to be sure, is this on 11307 H ?

Yep. That's on Eurobird.

So, you have low-band horizontal & high-band vertical (Sky News) but don't seem to have hi-band h.

Try 12032 H, as it has no competing vertical signal. Complete list of frequencies here
