Peugeot 307 horn blowing when car unlocked

Hey! I unlocked my car (2005 Peugeot 307) earlier using the unlock button on my key, then my horn started blowing continuously really loudly. No one was touching the car and no sign of anyone tampering at it, it was only parked for a few hours. i tried opening door and turning on engine, moving car- it kept going. Someone pressed the horn again and it eventually stopped.
It was the same key that i locked the car with- I nearly always press the button and not use the key.

Anyone heard of this happening and know why? or how I can stop it happening again? I rang my garage and they had never heard of the fault, they just said bring it up if it happens again. Any help appreciated!

When your 307 is locked and you press the lock button again does it sound the horn briefly....?
The horn,c-locking,e-windows,etc are all controlled tru the bsi so the central locking "open" command could has energised the horn relay for some reason.

    Has it happened since..?

thanks, i have only tried unlocking and locking the car, I haven't been out driving since. I didn't notice the horn sounding then but I will keep an ear out for it tomorrow. If thats what it was, would it be a once of thing? or possibly a recurrent thing?

If it keeps happening I will pull out the fuse for the horn until I can find a long term solution..........

If it continues you will need to get it checked out...It could be just a once off but its difficult to know.
If yours is the 1.4 petrol then the horn is fuse 2 (15amp) in the engine bay fusebox...:)
