    Im pretty sure the trigger pin hole is in the right place, as you said just looks off in the pic! :) So id say any v2 gb will work.

    What they meant by Classic Army 'Old-type' is their receiver type, not the Gearbox. Basically it's because the upper and lower are sold separately, they are just trying to make sure that people don't buy the wrong type. You're unaffected due to buying both upper and lower which are compatible with each other.

    ah good thats what i was banking on when I ordered both but theres two holes for retaining pins
