Who was the first person to kick points under lights in Thomond Park. I was at the match, Shannon Vs Garryowen and remember after 15 minutes we went to the bar as you couldn't see halfway across the pitch.

    Anyone able to help?

That game was played under the new lights in 2008. The first game I think was played around Chrismas time back when it was redeveloped for the RWC games. It was a really foggy night and the steam coming from the players didn't help either.

There are a few of us here at work and it is driving us crazy.

I am thinking Andrew Thompson too but a few people are saying that Garryowen kicked the first points.

Need to be 100% before we use it as a tie breaker question.

You know what some people can be like when it comes to table quizes.

It was Kilroy or Tadhg Bennett

    from the IRFU website

'Bennett and Kilroy kicked a brace of penalties each, the former having put Shannon 6-3 up before Kilroy smacked over a fine effort in the 35th minute.'

Sure it wasn't Conor Murray, playing for Munster u20's v. Ulster u20's?

It is a tough one alright but a good one. I am thinking it is back around 1998 / 1999 season. I think it was around time they upgraded the terraces for the RWC, when Australia played there.

I think Tim Horan played and arrived into McDaids afterwards looking to chat with a barman in there that he knew from playing in Oz.

Seemed a nice guy back then but now he is calling the Irish team, cheats.
