    Hi there,

I just received a call from 1590 number and asked me if this was Tony.

I said no and you must have wrong number. They then asked what my name was and I hung up.

They call my number again but i dint answer.

Anyone know anything bout this number. Just shows 1590.

    Thanks

Trying to make you ring back maybe?
Might not work if it only says 1590

If you call a 1590 number -- the most expensive premium-rate call you can make -- you'll be charged €2.90 a minute for calls from landlines. Twenty minutes of that kind of chat and you're down almost €60. If you're calling from a mobile, the charge could be even more. If you're a pay-as-you-go Speakeasy customer with O2 for example, you'll pay €4 a minute to call 1590 lines.

Suspect it might be some sort of call back scam.

    1520, 1530, 1540, 1550, 1560, 1570, 1580 and 1590 are all premium rate numbers.

See below for example of charge rates and sections:

Its only 1590 number. Wont connect.

I understand if the number was 1590 666 333 for example, then I would be charged through the roof.

But dont understand why its just 1590

Could be an internet phone making an outside call. Its like that in my friends workplace. When she rings me four digits come up but if I dial them back I can'tget through
