Just wondering whether there is an on-site physio in the health center. Was in the gym and fell over on my ankle tonight.

Also for those of you who have been... any idea of the price?

    From the website:
    Physiotherapy

Appointments are made for our physiotherapist Karita Cullen with reception at the Health Centre. Karita specialises in stress managment, acupuncture and Pilates.

During term time appointments are available between 9am and 4pm each day. Out of term time they are available on a part-time basis.

Charges are €20 for students, €40 for staff and €50 for outpatients

Alternatively, theres a physical therapist who works out of the sports centre, if you ask at reception in the gym they can provide you with further details.

I'd say the physio is a lot cheaper, but I've heard she isn't great. Make friends with a physio student instead!

I went to her a few times when I was still in college (training for marathons) and found her to be excellent; got me sorted out when I thought things were done for, and she has a brilliant attitude. She's better than almost all the physios I've seen since I left, and at about 20euro a visit for a student (probably more now I guess) you're not going to get better value anywhere else. I know at least one other person who has visited her over the past three years (for various martial arts related brokenness) and has also found it hard to find someone as good outside of college.
