ok so im living in waterford and travel alot.

i need broadband on the go as i do alot of work when im traellling around the country, mostly to and from limerick.

i want to get mbroadband because my housemate has it and she wont get the normal BETTER stuff................ but thats my burden to bare i suppose:D

ive been seeing lots of deals around and if anything ive been just making more questions for myself.

i stream ALOT including football and rugby matchs at the world cup and such so i need a big download allowance i assume. in any week i might stream 10-15 tv shows and stream about 3 90 minute matches which means i do about 20-25 hours of streaming a week. i currently do this back home in limerick on the eircom network on the 4mb package.

my question is how much speed do i need to streat and what kind of download allowance am i looking at????

any advice would be very helpfull as i need to get this sorted soon as possible.

    thanks

No mobile operator will give you the kind of data allowance you're looking for. Speed is irrelevant here, as it's the quantity you're looking for. Speed is very unfixed for mobile midband anyway, especially for streaming over long periods.

You need broadband, simple as that. Don't involve your housemate, just get what you need for yourself.

Three will give you 60gb for 30 euro a month.

Realistically that's the highest your going to get from a mobile service for the foreseeable future.

You'll need to install a bandwidth monitor, then look at your usage when streaming the various videos.

Even with an reasonable cap (like 60GB), 3G networks are not very good for streaming continuously, especially Three. It might start off fine, but you may see it degrade and die away before the end. The only way to know if it works would be to test it, but you'll have to sign up to do that. Even if it does work now, it might not work the next day.

Streaming video requires broadband, simple as that. A 3G connection is not designed or intended for this kind of usage.
