    Hi quick one,

    i used the prepackaged installer to setup my joomla 1.7 default site but i'm wondering where the files are located as want to change the template and the modules manually.
    i `thought they would be located here /webspace/httpdocs
    but all i see is the default blacknight hold php file.
    i've had a look in the faq but no luck.
    using the new cpanel.

    thanks

    if you go with the hosting app version of joomla then there are limitations on what you can do,

    advantage is hosters keep the core updated

    disadvantage if you want to customise code in the core etc, then you'll need the installation in httpdocs, but you'll be updating security patches yourself.

    Personally we find joomla works better in the httpdocs, more freedom there.

    Depends what you intend doing with it later.
