Hi. Just about to buy one of the Logitech remote controls - the wife is losing her reason with the number of remote controls in the house. I want to be sure the Harmony One will operate the new chorus digital dvr. Has anyone set their system up with it? Thanks!

Is Chorus the system in Cork? I have a Logitech Harmoney One and in the worst case scenario you can 'train' the Logitech by pointing the DVR remote at it and it will remember all of the commands. There is an infrared receiver at the bottom of the Logitech specifically for training.

The Logitech PC s/w will take you through the procedure, it will ask you to connect the Logitech to the PC via USB cable (supplied) and then it will tell you to point the DVR remote at the bottom of the Logitech remote and press all of the important controls one by one which it will then remember.

Just to follow up on this - I got a Harmony One online from Amazon for €110 delivered. It works great with the UPC box without having to use the IR learning or anything. It's working great for me, delighted with it.

Are you referring to the UPC cable DVR or something that is being used on the old Chorus Digital MMDS platform that I am unaware of?

    hi

Don't install the Cisco 8485 DVB PVR but instead install the settop box Philips DCR-8111 working fine for hd box from upc.

    enjoy fun with harmony
