hi, I am thinking of opening a bank account in Austria, and transfer some of our savings there. Just wondering whether there is way of checking the status of a bank, ie how well it's doing, etc? had a look at the recent stress test and it's not one of those that failed but have no idea how to find out more... ps: I should have no problem opening an account there, checked with the bank.

Is it a quoted company? Put the name into http://finance.yahoo.com and check it out.
