02 Almera Steering Issues

    Hi All,

'02 Almera, all standard drifts softly to the left while driving. Have had it tracked a number of times by a number of different garages and it hasn't fixed it. To add to that, while driving, it needs the steering wheel to be pulled about 10 degrees to the right to keep the car straight. If I let go of the steering wheel sometimes it will start drifting softly to the left and sometimes not. Its like the steering wheel isn't centered correctly

I'm not aware of any accident damage to the car (I've had it 4.5 years and its never been in one since I've owned it)

My instinct tells me there is something wrong with the steering itself, it feels a little less precise than it should. Its like its not centered correctly and feels like something isnt tight enough

Firstly, any ideas on what this could be and rough associated costs with getting it fixed would be greatly appreciated.

Secondly, I'm living in North Dublin, but would be willing to travel a bit of distance if necessary to get this fixed properly, any suggestions on a good garage to get this repaired by

Just to Add - have had the wheels balanced and they appear to be fine and tyres are the correct pressure for a Nissan Almera (as per the instructions on the door pillar 29psi)
