Approx how much would we expect to pay for 22sm of cedar cladding supplied and fitted? It's for a small kitchen extension. One medium size window and one small one both on the long side.

hi lilybarlean. I recently got cedar for my house and was charged €36+vat, which for me was about €43 square metre. I seemed to have got one of the more dearer boards available but the best thing was that it was pre-stained which was the job. Friend of mine fitted it though so I don't know what the going rate would be for a carpenter. I got my cedar from a crowd in Kerry called adanack. They even sent me samples so might be worth a call to them yourself. I know there was cheaper options available but I have expensive taste!!

Thanks. Our builder was charging €1300 + vat for the job as part of the major building work we're having done. We didn't know if this was too high or just about right. Got an independent quote for €2,200

Anyone else got any idea? May have to get the builder to go ahead if that's the cheapest we can get it for?

I did some cedar cladding a few months ago and ended up using http://www.woodcomponents.ie/ they are vased in wicklow. Really great to deal with made exactly what e wanted and were 20% cheaper than anyone else. Will be going back later this year to finish the garden
