i was in bed for work and realised i forgot to lock the dogs up so up and out i went i couldnt find them so thick as **** because im in my boxers and just slipped on my shoes i let a whistle and got the p7 of the counter in kitchen back out and across the yard here they come in through the ditch of the road i lock them up and decide to look into the field at the back of house with the p7 its normaly good for bunnys

standing on the back step i see a set of eyes about 130 yards out in to get the gun a woke the young lad by accident she let rip then so left the gun and back out i called the fox in to 60 yards and he stood with his head high and proud and me with no gun i decide its worth the trouble

back in got the gun up un the bin at the back door the fox is heading away now he is about 130 yards again and just sitting there listening to me shot isnt great position and only 99% sure this is the same fox because i did take my eyes of him so after 20 mins he is still sitting there and i decide to leave it but

    murphys law

didnt have the gun when he was right in front of me typical

Murphy's law sucks, a similar situation happened to me the other night. Myself and the father were out giving his greyhounds a hunt, and I saw 2 foxes in different fields, and no gun.
We went out last night and covered all the same ground, and saw nothing until we were heading home when we spotted a fox about 400yds off, we called him in to 200 and let him have it
