I quit school after Junior Cert to become a farmer a few years ago, but I've realised the lack of contact with people my own age is just depressing. So I want to go back to school, not just for educational needs but social too. I think I can be an interesting person when I get going, tut the thought also frightens me…

I quit school after Junior Cert to become a farmer a few years ago, but I've realised the lack of contact with people my own age is just depressing.

So I want to go back to school, not just for educational needs but social too. I think I can be an interesting person when I get going, tut the thought also frightens me because I have no idea how to initiate a typical conversation. My mind just goes blank. Small-talk when sitting next to someone would be much preferable to awkward silences.

a lot easier than you think. Simple, even. In fact, there's not much point in worrying about it. Socialization will happen normally. Enjoy heading back to school!
