Best thing to do is to try and reset the BIOS by removing the battery:

    remove-battery.jpg

Leave it out for about a minute then put it back and try booting again.

    Here's a specialist Asrock P67 motherboard thread: http://www.overclock.net/intel-motherboards/912219-official-asrock-p67-discussion-owners-club.html

Somebody here may be able to help but it wouldn't hurt to ask for assistance there as well.

Sounds like you bricked your board. You have to be extremely careful with BIOS updates and there's little that you can do if something like that happens.

Have a look at the board or manual to see if you can replace the BIOS ROM chip. Sometimes they're removable and you can get replacements.

hi mono,i think mobo is ok.and yes the chip is removable.trouble is that asrock dont have a boot sector on there bios chips, to save space apparantly otherwise i cud recover from floppy.i guess only option is order a replacement chip from the uk.maybe sumone here knows of an irish company????

I meant more that the board was dead without a working BIOS rather than damaged. There's no reason really to assume that the board itself is damaged.
It's handy to have a boot sector on a board alright, but it's not something you see on many... then again it's not something that you'd be looking out for when comparing boards until you actually need it! You do see some manufacturers with dual BIOS in their top end boards which is definitely a nice feature.
