itunes account

    Hi.

    I'm trying to set my friends new phone up but when i try to log in it is requesting a credit card. I've checked the help section in itunes and it does give instructions on how to set up an account without a cc but it says that when i get to the section about entering my cc details that i should select 'none'. for some reason there is no option that i can see.

    Is it possible to set an account up without a card.

    Yes, if you try to buy an app that is free you will be able to open an itunes account without a credit card. E.G Itunes Remote.

    Im getting a message that says 'this apple ID has not been used with itunes,please review your account info' and then i get to the same point with the cc.

    i think there is an option in the credit card setting to select no card. It's in the drop down.

    Failing this you can defo do it on itunes.
