Sick pay question

    Hi,

I was out sick a while ago for 9 days and the money is being deducted from this months salary. The payroll department have advised me it will be a 250 euro deduction. I received a receipt from the social welfare a couple of weeks ago for 112 euro. I have not received this money into my bank account yet though but maybe I won't receive it until the end of the month??

Is there any reason why I'm being deducted 250 from my wages and the social are only giving me 112?

The most you are entitled to from DSP for 6 days is €188 you are not paid for the first 3 days of illness benefit. Rate of payment depends on your average weekly earnings in the relevant year.

DSP do not pay you the same amount as your employer.
