I use my iPad at home alot. Great for web, email, video etc.

I was wondering do people use it for business? I work in engineering/hr and attend alot of meetings and audits.

I have the pages, keynote and numbers. Dont use them much unless preparing for presentations etc.

Any one else use their ipad for business?

Showing clients pictures of finished products etc, plus it makes you look a lot cooler and professional if your carrying around your iPad while working :p

I've tried using both my Samsung Galaxy Tab (7") and an iPad for the many meetings I attend.

    Both are quite cumbersome.

I used to use have phones where you could write directly on the screen with a proper stylus - in my opinion, these are far superior to the "pencil eraser" styli you have to use with Android/iOS.

For very brief notes, to look something up on a website, or to find "the e-mail I sent you yesterday", they are useful, but for anything more, they just don't work.

About the only good use is the Galaxy Tab for Powerpoint presentations, hooked up to a projector - at least I don't have to carry my laptop.

I use it in meetings, a lot handier than dragging around the laptop. You can pull up emails, send an IM, make quick notes, open up relevant docs or websites. Although, if you require to input a lot of data like taking minutes then I would stick with the laptop.

I've done that a few times, and have a cover with inbuilt keyboard which helps.
