The wetsuit question; are women tougher than men?

Just looking at yesterday's Sandycove Island Challenge results the breakdown was as follows: Total Male Swimmers 158 Togs 66 - Wetsuit 92 Total Female Swimmers 93 Togs 47 - Wetsuit 46 so the question is, are the women tougher?
