How do you wire one of these speed controllers?

    Where does the fan get wired into and where do you wire the power into it?

    First pic here shows the instructions. Vortice don't seem to be that good though?

    Second is inside the fan itself - it's currently wired to be connected directly into a socket.

    I wonder what the meaning of instruction no. 12 is on the manual?

    probably to adjust the controller speed
    i wouldnt touch this as the dial should do it for you

    I assume the M on the diagram stands for "motor"?

    Why is neutral marked as 2 and a symbol for live?
