best type of backhoe for a dexta is a jcb. Just pop the dexta into the front bucket and work ahead with the jcb's backactor. On a more serious note, backhoe attatchments for tractors are very limited. I had one on a MF 65 at one stage and went from that to a clapped out jcb. The jcb was leagues ahead of the tractor attached version. Bit of a waste of time putting a backhoe onto a dexta, imo. Get an old digger instead?

As iwouldnt be useing it alot the price of buying a jcb wouldnt be justifyed money wise , iam toying with this idea so as the tractor wouldnt end up as a single implement tractor , thanks for your input as
any help on this is welcome, Granpa

Anything you put on a dexta will be hopeless, we had one on a dexta years ago, total scrap and a real pain to drive having to get of the seat every couple a mins to move the dam tractor as the actor hasnt the power to push it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks 4000 for you response, what is the proplem with the dexta is the hydrulics not up to it or is the whole set up wrong on the dexta. iwould
just be clearing ditches and win bushes ,would the dexta not be up for this either. ihave seen these on the kabouta with less hp and they seem to work ok,would it depend on the type of backactor or would none really make a good job , granpa

buy an old jcb, it will cost less than the crapactor, do whatever you want and when you're done, you can sell it for the same money as you paid. Just never get onto a modern 360 excavator, ever, because you can never go back to driving slow, weak, akward lumps of scrap again afterwards.

The hydraulics are much quicker on them newer little tractors, as the last gut said 'crapactors' is a great term for them dam things, to get a good one you would have to spend as much as an old jcb or the like

Heres one all it needs is an engine (major) which aint that hard to find !!

To get a good mcconnell arm that hasnt lain up for years with all the pipes perished and when u go to use it it bursts another every half hour u will need to spend rediculous money for all they are usefull for, ok for digging holes for gateposts but u would have dug them by hand quicker than trying to fit the dam thing to the tractor
