I left 10 x 330ml cans of carlsberg in the freezer last night. Keeps on happening me this! This time however none of the cans burst and they are now thawed out.

Does this freeze/ thaw action on beer adversely affect it?

    Thanks.

It should be fine. Well, it's going to taste like Carlsberg, but it'll be fine.

someone else would have said that anyway. :)

    Enjoy!

It might lose it's fizz though. I think that happened to me many years ago (But I was drunk, so the memory's a bit wobbly)

the amount of alcohol in the drink will affect how easily it freezes , for example beer would freeze easily compared to vodka or another high percentage spirit.

Alcohol freezes at a lower temperature than water.

Yes but the beery water will freeze and seperate from the alcohol, only high abv (above 40%) spirits can be kept in the freezer.

I never said beer wouldn't freeze, I was just pointing out that alcohol does freeze, but at a much lower temperature than water, so obviously the higher the alcohol content the less likely it is going to freeze, especially in a domestic freezer.

It'll be fine to drink after it thaws. It will be completely flat, so it'll taste even worse than it did before you froze it. :)

I find they can go a bit flat, never fully flat. If the cans did not explode or expand it might not have fully frozen. One idea I had but never did was to fill an ice cube bag with the defrosted beer and refreeze, now you have ice cubes that won't dilute your beer.

10 cans is a lot of cubes though!
