Leaving phone dock plugged into cigarette lighter. Drains battery when car is off?

Just wondering if a phone dock (has charger, bluetooth, etc.) in the cigarette lighter can drain a car battery when the car is off.

The phone stops charging and the power light on the dock goes off when the car is fully turned off, so it looks like it uses no power at all. Can the battery still be slowly drained by just leaving it plugged in because the contacts in the lighter outlet are still touching?

    Thanks!

It depends whether the cigar lighter is live when the ignition is off.
And how long it's left .
    But in general,no.

My charger stays active when I turn off the car.

Same with mine. Here's a way of checking. Turn off the engine. Take out key from ignition. Is the charger still charging your device? If not, then the answer is no.

    Only way to check!
