A friend and I were playing golf today and the following happened. My ball was on the green about a foot from the hole after 2 shots. My partner was off the green after two shots. He chipped on with his 3rd shot and his ball knocked my ball into the hole. What score do I get?

I reckon 2 and i didnt have to mark my ball as he was off the green

Your ball was knocked into the hole by an outside agency. If you replaced your ball and holed the putt, then it was a 3, otherwise you had a nr on the hole.

The moving ball stays and the stationary ball moves.

So at the time of impact your friends ball was moving and so it stays where it ended up.

At the time of impact your ball was stationary so it must be moved back to where it was.

So in this instance you did not finish that hole so did not get any score on it.

Yep sorry OP, you should have replaced your ball and holed out. If you didn't then you didn't finish the hole and you score zip in stableford. Disqualified if it was strokeplay.
