Nearly have the ACCA CAT exams done and was thinking about my next step. As far as I can see employers recruit people with degrees as interns/trainees if they are going on to do the professional qualification. Do they ever take people who have the Certified Accounting Technician bit done and who want to do the full accounting qualification? What I really want (in an ideal world) is to work part time 3/4 days and study for full accounting qualification.

I don't see you getting a 3/4 day trainee role. Possibly as a free internship, but even then I'd not get my hopes up. You're services may be free but it takes skilled time to train up someone.

As you are most likely going to be up against prof students you might have better luck once you transfer to the prof level.
