Deadline for Collecting Jobseekers Allowance

    Hi guys. I have a query regarding the deadline for collecting Jobseekers Allowance from the post office. I will be transferring my claim to another county as I am in the process of moving in order to undertake a Springboard course. I've been told by the Postmaster of my local post office that the deadline for collecting Jobseekers Allowance is on Tuesday of the following week of payment. Does this mean that I have up until 5pm on a Tuesday to collect the payment or does it mean that it will bounce back to Social Welfare first thing on Tuesday morning? I'd appreciate if anybody could let me know about this. Thanks a lot

    Ok well just to be sure it would be better if you went in on the Monday if possibble. But, I also asked the Post Office when the deadline to collect SW payment they told me the same thing - Tuesday.
    I would assume that you can still collect it on Tuesday but just to be safe I would collect it on Monday.

    It's close of business on Tuesday - uncollected payments are returned by An Post on Tuesday nights.
