Advice & some help required - noob

There is an existing sky dish in our new house with a 4 lnb output.
2 outputs go to the kitchen & 1 goes to one of the bedrooms (1 left empty)
From the kitchen a cable runs into a distribution box in the external wall. In this box are 2 No Global F140 4 Way Sky Amplifier boxes - with a outputs running to other rooms. These Global boxes are not currently powered - I assume the sky box powered them.

I have 2 Opticum 4100c boxes from our old house that I want to use.
My problem is that where I want the TV (in sitting room) it is cabled from the distribution box.
Will one of the opticum boxes power these Global uints (from the loop output of the opticum box).
I also have a couple of very old sky boxes that I could possible use to power the global unit - but will this allow me to use the opticum at the other end?

    Any advice much appreciated.

The distribution amps will need a satellite feed connected if you want to use them for anything more than distributing the return feed from a receiver.

You could just route the feeds from the lnb to the external box & join them directly to the output cables, bypassing the amp. Hopefully the fitted cables will be good enough for satellite IF.

Does anyone know how long the cable from th lnb can be?

Depends on cable quality & signal level at the dish. Assuming reasonable values for both, you should be fine on the lengths encountered in the average house.
