So Goal.com has an article that we met with Ancelotti this summer due to being worried about loosing Harry, which I have to say could work out really well if Harry is to go this summer to take over at England.

Ancelotti would be the first Manager we have had to win a premier league Title and in my opinion at least would not be tactically inept as Harry is.While he is also a pretty attacking manager at the same time which is fantastic.

    Opinions?
Carlo Ancelotti has been sounded out by Arsenal and Tottenham about his potential availability during his four-month break from the managerial dugout, The Sweeper can disclose. Ancelotti, who was sacked by Chelsea on the final day of the last Premier League season, has also rejected formal offers from Aston Villa and QPR, as well as rebuffed serious interest from Inter and Roma in his native Italy.
The 52-year-old announced in June that he would take a year-long sabbatical from the game, only the second prolonged period of rest in his 16-year coaching career.
Before this announcement, he had been a manager in demand. Although there is no suggestion that he was formally lined up to replace either Arsene Wenger at Arsenal or Harry Redknapp at Tottenham, both clubs were sufficiently concerned about losing their managers to enquire about Ancelotti’s interest in taking over.
Wenger held informal talks with Paris-Saint Germain during the summer and also met a Manchester City delegation in May, while Redknapp was touted as a candidate to replace Ancelotti at Chelsea.
“At the end of last season Carlo was approached by Arsenal and Tottenham,” a friend of Ancelotti’s told The Sweeper. “There was dialogue and he would have accepted either of them if they had made a concrete offer but Arsenal and Tottenham did not pursue their interest.
“The concrete offers he had during the summer from Italian and English clubs didn’t convince him. He declined Aston Villa and QPR, and turned down Roma.”
Ancelotti’s name was also mentioned as a candidate to succeed Gian Piero Gasperini at Inter in midweek before it became clear that Claudio Ranieri was being parachuted into the San Siro. As revealed on Goal.com on Wednesday, Ancelotti was Massimo Moratti’s first choice but the Inter president was unable to offer the lucrative, long-term deal that the former AC Milan manager wanted.
Despite his interest in the Inter post, Ancelotti’s preference is to remain in England and wait for an opportunity to come up at one of the leading Premier League clubs.
“He loves English football and the Premier League,” added the friend. “He would sign tomorrow if any of the top four clubs made a serious offer. He wants an ambitious club where he has his own project and can design something, rather than take on a rescue job. But he is in no rush and is enjoying his sabbatical at the moment.”
Ancelotti still lives in London and spends most of his time in England’s capital, although he travels regularly to and from Milan. He is currently working as a pundit for Sky Italia on Champions League nights.

no doubting what harry has done at spurs and i think he is itching for the england job. but will they touch him with the tax evasion case still ongoing? think he is up in court again in nov not sure but what if he is found guilty? will england take him then?

all that aside if harry goes ancelotti would more than be capable of doing a good job.
