Im planning on buying a MBP in the next week or so.. I would like to hear any suggestions ye may have when choosing one. Which one do you use? How do you find it? I am more interested in the 13" & 15" models. Should i defo go I7 or would an I5 do? Ill be using ableton and some plugs mainly with some outboard gear as well.. along with a usb soundcard and some usb controllers.. any experiences which would help me in my choice would be great.. also thinking of a refurb maybe instead of going new.. depends if the 13" I5 is suitable for what i want otherwise it might be a refurb 15".

I'm running an i3 iMac, and to be fair to it, it's a beast of a machine, I do have 8th of ram tho.

An i5 really will be plenty for what you want it to do.

As for screen size, I wouldn't hesitate for a second about getting a refurb 15"

I had a refurb white MacBook, and it was 100% as new.
