When someone pops on they should be able to delete them all.

Deleted 34 spam threads. We have had 3 or 4 thread attacks at a time on American Football in the past, but never this volume in one day. Normally when the admin permabans a spammer, they also delete all the spammer's threads at the same time, but for some reason they did not do this. This was similar to a DDOS attack, except with spam on our forum.

Yea only realised a shorwhile ago I posted just after you did so you were busy deleting them. Thought you might have somehow not noticed them.

Mostly college streaming matches, although a few other spammers trying to sneak into other forums. I am now working the window where they first appear, trying to get them nuked before they get to us. 5 more just dealt with.

Hi Black Swan..

I work on a few different Forums....My job there is to hunt down,find,and delete spammers.

Now,these Forums are phpBB3 based,but We have software installed on them,,so the if the spammers IP,email addy,or username shows up on StopForumSpam,they are automatically prevented from registering on the forums.

We also have something installed which monitors all the traffic that tries to log on to the forums,and you wouldn't beleive how often those spammers try. Could be a few hundred times an hour. so that would make Me think that it is indeed automated spamming.

Not sure if you have anything like that installed here.....But,,it works great for Us...

If any of you lads are about late tonight and/or early tomorrow, please keep an eye out for NFL steaming spam on our forum. We had a ton of college streaming spam today before the games, and may have NFL spam before game times tomorrow. Please report them, and I will nuke them.
