shooting woodcock west cork

    Hi,I do shooting for woodcock and snipe with my E setter on my gun club close to co Kerry and I looking for someone who share the same passion.In my club they dont seem interested by the woodies so will be great to know someone like me.I got 24 years of shooting behind me but I never found yet anyone around my area who d like shooting woodcock seriously.

    im living in west cork, never done much wood cock but have shot plenty of snipe over my springer. I would love and too shoot over a pointing dog as i never have before

    I am not fond of forestry but I do like mix wood,bushes where the dog can express itself.
    But it all depend on the weather and where the birds are.
    And what s about you?Do you shoot for woodcock and where?

    not much woodcock on my gunclub lands. i have a couple of dogs i trial with and would be interested in running them on snipe if the ground was good running ground. i'd let you do the shooting

    we nearly shoot woodcock exclusive just a few phesants in November to get the eye in !! We shoot over spanials and in heavy cover in the midlands in December & January and we would love to take up the offer. PM me when they start comming in and we can orgnise something

    Not much snipe on my ground,but woodcock isnt bad if you know where and how.
    We can waiting for the season and see if we can go out some days.

    I do plenty of woodcock shooting when the season opens but if this year is going to be a repeat of last year it will be a disaster, hopefully we get the heat wave they are on about. I am on the cork/kerry border and work with a springer if u have a machete and are fit we can meet up also if your gun club doesn,t mind !!!

    Sent you a PM with my details. I shoot Pheasnt, Duck and Woodcock over my E Setters and Springers in Cork. Surprised to hear that there is no one around your own club who's not into shooting Woodcock as you have beautiful country down there for it!!
