    Hi

..Old Age is getting to me and am finding that my eyesight os not as good as I thought and now find that 'small print' like on cooking instructions etc is very blurred.

As a PAYE + PRSI payee for many many years... does anyone know what I can get towards Eye Tests, Lenses and Frames??

Are there some 'FREE' entitlements as a PRSI payee???

    Many thanks

i used to get about 40 euro but think thats changed now Might just be a free eye test now This assumes you don't want the free frames the PRSI covers - dog ugly ones!!!! Actually just found this so its just the eyetest - http://www.specsavers.ie/glasses/prsi-medical-card/

30 euro but 15 at the minute in specsavers ;)

Yep,just the sight test now. They cut everything else when they slashed the dental benefits of prsi.

If you need glasses for computer use at work, then your employer might contribute towards the cost.

The Tesco Extra store in Naas has it's own in store optician.
Eye tests are free, and there is a buy one get one free offer on glasses!

you will get back what you payed for the eye test but nothing back on the glasses

my partner had an eye test last week and he needed glasses they gave him a form to claim back on the test which is 15 euro at the minute with specsavers but they said he could claim nothing back on the glasses:( wich were 140 in total for 2 pairs
